This book is all about - Balanced Parenting balancing the love and affection with discipline and responsibility. Because by not maintaining this balance we do a great disservice to our child and make him/her a softie psychologically, who would never be able to cope with the harsh world and succeed. The overt pampering of children by the parents, in the garb of love, makes them soft targets lambs - in this vicious world, which are likely to get slaughtered at the altar of competition.
Though, this is a Non-fiction Self-Help genre book, Ive used an exciting fictional - storyline of four children being brought up in different parenting styles and how each style moulds a childs life. This not only makes it extremely reader-friendly but also makes the parents identify and relate to the characters of the book as the incidents of this book are exactly the same as the parents themselves experience day in and day out. (After all, most are based on true anecdotes from my patients lives).
