El presente estudio plantea como objetivo explorar y analizar las relaciones entre los valores, el bienestar y las emociones individuales y colectivas en un grupo de personas que estuvo expuesto a la violencia política durante los años 1980 – 2000 en la ciudad de Ayacucho. Para tal fin se aplicaron encuestas a 120 personas y otras 12 participaron en dos entrevistas participativas. Los resultados refieren mejores resultados en bienestar social, principalmente en integración, para aquellas personas que perciben a su grupo de referencia como víctimas de la violencia política y en aquellas personas que participaron en rituales de justicia transicional. Los valores de la subfunción interactiva y suprapersonal funcionaron como factores predictores del bienestar social y el balance del clima emocional resulto negativo, en general. Asimismo, las mujeres obtuvieron significativamente puntajes más bajos en las medidas de bienestar y clima. Consideramos entonces que frente a periodos de violencia, los principales recursos desarrollados por la persona vienen de la mano con la integración, el apoyo y la cohesión al colectivo, factor que se refleja en valores más vinculantes al bienestar grupal y la autonomía interrelacional.
