Mañanas de abril y mayo juega con situaciones y esquemas de vigencia universal: el deseo, el amor, la burla, el enredo engañoso, y muestra la extraordinaria habilidad del poeta para la construcción de una intriga que se desenvuelve con absoluta precisión y con un lenguaje poético de asombrosa armonía, tejiendo todos los hilos sin perder nunca el control, con una complejidad que convive con la claridad de modo admirable.
