Kemunculan wabah Corona dan wabah lain sebetulnya tidak bisa dilepaskan dari cara manusia memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya saat ini—yang berbeda dibandingkan empat abad lalu. Kami akan mengulas bagaimana sistem produksi kapitalis saat ini membentuk dan mempersering kedatangan wabah: entah itu yang menjadi endemi, epidemi, ataupun pandemi. Lantas, bagaimanakah cara kita memenuhi kebutuhan hidup selama ini? Bagaimana sistem kapitalisme yang disebut-sebut itu, merusak hubungan sosial dan lingkungan kita? Dryland agricultural system is under threat due to climate extremes and unsustainable management. Understanding of climate change impact is important to design adaptation options for dry land agricultural systems. Thus, the present review was conducted with the objectives to identify gaps and suggest technology-based intervention that can support dry land farming under changing climate. Careful management of the available agricultural resources in the region is a current need, as it will play crucial role in the coming decades to ensure food security, reduce poverty, hunger, and malnutrition. Technology based regional collaborative interventions among Universities, Institutions, Growers, Companies etc. for water conservation, supplemental irrigation, foliar sprays, integrated nutrient management, resilient crops-based cropping systems, artificial intelligence, and precision agriculture (modeling and remote sensing) are needed to support agriculture of the region. Different process-based models have been used in different regions around the world to quantify the impacts of climate change at field, regional, and national scales to design management options for dryland cropping systems. Modeling include water and nutrient management, ideotype designing, modification in tillage practices, application of cover crops, insect, and disease management. However, diversification in the mixed and integrated crop and livestock farming system is needed to have profitable, sustainable business. The main focus in this work is to recommend different agro-adaptation measures to be part of policies for sustainable agricultural production systems in future.

This work is a translation of an indispensable advice concerning "The Obligation of Supporting the Truth" found in the introductory section of the Nūniyyah Poem of Ibn al Qayyim. It includes the synopsis and annotations of the most prolific scholars that explained this poem at length. These particular lines of poetry are found in lines 188-260 of the Qaṣīdah al-Nuniyah. In his commentary of select passages from the Nūniyyah, the great scholar ‘Abd al-Raḥmān bin Nāṣir al-Sa’dī characterizes this preliminary advice as follows: "At this point, he [i.e., Ibn al Qayyim] engages in a beneficial introduction and comprehensive advice that every student of knowledge is in need of, regardless of whether his pursuit is for knowledge of the Usūl or knowledge of the Furū’. Furthermore, it should be given precedence over (learning) the etiquette of the scholar and the student. That is because it entails pieces of advice that every person desiring felicity in both worlds is in need of." Similarly, al-Shaykh Muḥammad bin Ṣāliḥ al ‘Uthaymīn says about the important advice that is found in this book: "In reality, these are guidelines and if you were to record and take note of these pieces of advice as you come across them, and then transferred them to a special notebook, it would prove to be of a great benefit and reference source for you. That is because they are guidelines that you won’t find except in this book." Likewise, the renowned Egyptian scholar, Muḥammad Khalīl Harrās remarked on the preciousness of Ibn al Qayyim’s advice. He said: After the author finishes mentioning Jahm’s corrupt doctrines and what he had drowned in of misguidance — on account of "having an aversion to the texts and relegating them to misinterpretation — he then proceeds with these invaluable pieces of advice for whoever is adamant on achieving salvation from Allah’s torment — with which He threatened every stray renegade."

Sampling techniques have been widely used in almost all areas of life. The method of drawing a sample is very important for estimation of population characteristics. In this book we have made an attempt to discuss popular sampling designs and estimation methods that can be used for estimation of population characteristics. This book presents two popular sampling design categories, namely the sampling of units and the sampling of groups of units. We have discussed designs that can be used for the sampling of units (for example, simple random sampling) and designs that are used for the sampling of groups (for example, cluster and multistage sampling). The availability of supplementary information provides a basis to improve the efficiency of estimates. This book discusses estimation methods with and without the use of supplementary information. Two popular methods which use supplementary information – namely, ratio and regression estimators – have been discussed in detail in this book alongside their design and model based study. The probabilities of population unit selection plays an important role in estimation. In this regard, the sampling designs are classified into two broader categories, namely equal probability sampling and unequal probability sampling. This book discusses in detail both of these sampling designs.
