En los últimos años, el interés por el tema de la creatividad ha crecido de manera notable en diversos ámbitos, entre los cuales se encuentra de manera importante el campo de la educación, tanto a escala nacional como, sobre todo, internacional. Gran parte de este interés se debe, sin duda, al fuerte vínculo que guarda la creatividad con áreas que están impactando actualmente al conjunto de la sociedad, en especial con la ciencia y la tecnología. Sin embargo, su influencia no se reduce a estos espacios y cada vez más aparece asociado con las actividades cotidianas de los individuos, a sus formas de vivir, de enfrentarse a los problemas, de establecer y mantener las relaciones interpersonales, de alcanzar niveles superiores de desarrollo personal y de bienestar emocional en entornos sociales cada vez más complejos y competitivos. Este reconocimiento creciente justifica su inserción en el campo educativo. Sin embargo, a pesar de ser quizá uno de los recursos más valiosos de que disponemos, es también cierto que el modelo de enseñanza predominante, tiende a reducir la creatividad del alumno por debajo de sus posibilidades reales. Desgraciadamente, en la escuela persiste un conjunto de fuerzas que inhiben la creatividad en el proceso enseñanza aprendizaje. Frecuentemente en las aulas predomina un énfasis exagerado en la reproducción del conocimiento y la memorización de contenidos Por ello, se consideró conveniente incluir un módulo sobre Desarrollo de la Creatividad, dentro del cual se incluye este curso específico. Este dossier está formado por cuatro secciones o unidades: La primera se refiere a los aspectos teóricos; la unidad II a las relaciones de creatividad con educación; la Unidad III está orientada a las técnicas de desarrollo de la creatividad, y la cuarta y última a discutir las experiencias iberoamericanas más destacadas sobre programas de desarrollo de la creatividad. Para ello se ha seleccionado artículos de destacados especialistas en creatividad, quienes nos presentan sus aportes con el deseo de que este esfuerzo de colaboración que trasciende las fronteras geográficas, pueda enriquecer la práctica docente de nuestros profesores y motivar el intercambio de experiencias y la circulación de las ideas entre los grupos de investigadores y especialistas interesados en los procesos creativos al interior de la educación.

Rainfed Altepetl: Modeling institutional and subsistence agriculture in ancient Tepeaca, Mexico Aurelio López & Corral 2014

Climate variability and human management strategies on crop stands were major factors that frequently affected agricultural yields among indigenous populations from central Mexico. This work seeks to model food production in ancient Tepeaca, a Late Postclassic (AD 1325-1521) and Early Colonial (16th century) state level-polity settled on the central highlands of Puebla, by applying a model that recognizes the presence of two independent and interconnected forms of food production: subsistence agriculture and institutional agriculture. Crop stands within this region depended heavily on rainfed conditions, a form of agriculture that often generates unstable interannual fluctuations in yields. Archaeology acknowledges the effects of such variations on the economy of households and institutions, but attention has been largely put on estimating average productivity values over long periods rather than focusing on interannual divergences. Such instability of agricultural production was recorded among modern Tepeaca’s agriculturalists through an ethnographic survey. This crucial information, along with archaeological data and local 16th century historical sources, is used for modeling the effects of climate variability among prehispanic populations and serves to better comprehend the organization of past agrarian structures, tribute systems and land tenure organization at the household and regional levels.
