Mastering Python Network Programming : learn Network programming in simple and easy steps using Python as a programming language Michael David 2021
Python Network Programming is about using python as a programming language to handle computer networking requirements. For example, if we want to create and run a local web server or automatically download some files from a URL with a pattern. This book is designed for Computer Science graduates as well as Software Professionals who are willing to learn Network programming in simple and easy steps using Python as a programming language. Before proceeding with this book, you should have a basic knowledge of writing code in Python programming language, using any python IDE and execution of Python programs. If you are completely new to python then please refer my Python book to get a sound understanding of the language.

Foundations of Python network programming : [the comprehensive guide to building network applications with Python John Goerzen; Martin Streicher Apress ; Distributed to the Book trade in the United States by Springer-Verlag, The expert's voice in open source Foundations of Python network programming, Berkeley, Calif., New York, 2004
This may be the easiest book review I've ever written. If you program in Python and you want to write Internet applications, go buy Foundations of Python Network Programming by John Goerzen. There. I've already folded down the corners of quite a few pages, and expect I'll refer to this book often in the coming months.— Greg Wilson, Dr. I think Apress is bringing a lot of helpful programming texts to the world. I intend to read this book to learn how to write client-server networking programs. As is typical of Apress books, there are a lot of specific code examples to help the reader see exactly how it should be done. This book is 99% good, and the only reason that isn't 100% is due to the wide scope of the book. Which, then again, is also a good thing. To guide readers through the new scripting language, Python, this book discusses every aspect of client and server programming. And as Python begins to replace Perl as a favorite programming language, this book will benefit scripters and serious application developers who want a feature-rich, yet simple language, for deploying their products. The text explains multitasking network servers using several models, including forking, threading, and non-blocking sockets. Furthermore, the extensive examples demonstrate important concepts and practices, and provide a cadre of fully-functioning stand alone programs. Readers may even use the provided examples as building blocks to create their own software.

lgli/1430230037 Foundations of Python Network Programming (2nd ed.) [Rhodes & Goerzen 2010-12-21] {3BD08D97}.pdf
Foundations of Python Network Programming: The comprehensive guide to building network applications with Python (Books for Professionals by Professionals) Goerzen, John, Bower, Tim, Rhodes, Brandon Apress ; Distributed to the Book trade worldwide by Springer Science+Business Media, The expert's voice in open source, Expert's voice in open source, 2nd ed. / Brandon Rhodes, John Goerzen., [New York], New York, New York State, 2010
This second edition of Foundations of Python Network Programming targets Python 2.5 through Python 2.7, the most popular production versions of the language. Python has made great strides since Apress released the first edition of this book back in the days of Python 2.3. The advances required new chapters to be written from the ground up, and others to be extensively revised. You will learn fundamentals like IP, TCP, DNS and SSL by using working Python programs; you will also be able to familiarize yourself with infrastructure components like memcached and message queues. You can also delve into network server designs, and compare threaded approaches with asynchronous event-based solutions. But the biggest change is this edition's expanded treatment of the web. The HTTP protocol is covered in extensive detail, with each feature accompanied by sample Python code. You can use your HTTP protocol expertise by studying an entire chapter on screen scraping and you can then test lxml and BeautifulSoup against a real-world web site. The chapter on web application programming now covers both the WSGI standard for component interoperability, as well as modern web frameworks like Django. Finally, all of the old favorites from the first edition are back: E-mail protocols like SMTP, POP, and IMAP get full treatment, as does XML-RPC. You can still learn how to code Python network programs using the Telnet and FTP protocols, but you are likely to appreciate the power of more modern alternatives like the paramiko SSH2 library. If you are a Python programmer who needs to learn the network, this is the book that you want by your side. Erscheinungsdatum: 21.12.2010

This may be the easiest book review I've ever written. If you program in Python and you want to write Internet applications, go buy Foundations of Python Network Programming by John Goerzen. There. I've already folded down the corners of quite a few pages, and expect I'll refer to this book often in the coming months. — Greg Wilson, Dr.

Python Network Programming Techniques : 50 Real-world Recipes to Automate Infrastructure Networks and Overcome Networking Challenges with Python Marcel Neidinger Packt Publishing Limited, Packt Publishing, Birmingham, 2021
Become well-versed with network programmability by solving the most commonly encountered problems using Python 3 and open-source packages Key Features Explore different Python packages to automate your infrastructure Leverage AWS APIs and the Python library Boto3 to administer your public cloud network efficiently Get started with infrastructure automation by enhancing your network programming knowledge Book Description Network automation offers a powerful new way of changing your infrastructure network. Gone are the days of manually logging on to different devices to type the same configuration commands over and over again. With this book, you'll find out how you can automate your network infrastructure using Python. You'll get started on your network automation journey with a hands-on introduction to the network programming basics to complement your infrastructure knowledge. You'll learn how to tackle different aspects of network automation using Python programming and a variety of open source libraries. In the book, you'll learn everything from templating, testing, and deploying your configuration on a device-by-device basis to using high-level REST APIs to manage your cloud-based infrastructure. Finally, you'll see how to automate network security with Cisco's Firepower APIs. By the end of this Python network programming book, you'll have not only gained a holistic overview of the different methods to automate the configuration and maintenance of network devices, but also learned how to automate simple to complex networking tasks and overcome common network programming challenges. What you will learn Programmatically connect to network devices using SSH (secure shell) to execute commands Create complex configuration templates using Python Manage multi-vendor or multi-device environments using network controller APIs or unified interfaces Use model-driven programmability to retrieve and change device configurations Discover how to automate post modification network infrastructure tests Automate your network security using Python and Firepower APIs Who this book is for This book is for network engineers who want to make the most of Python to automate their infrastructure. A basic understanding of Python programming and common networking principles is necessary.
