Pleasures in Socialism : Leisure and Luxury in the Eastern Bloc edited and with an introduction by David Crowley and Susan E. Reid Northwestern University Press, Chicago Distribution Center (CDC Presses), Evanston, Ill, 2010

Essays from top scholars address topics ranging from fashion and game shows to smoking and camping. The authors of the essays in this collection investigate the ways in which pleasurable activities, like many other facets of daily life, were both a space in which these communist governments tried to insinuate themselves and thereby further expand the reach of their authority, and also an opportunity for people to assert their individuality.

Priesthood In Crisis Matthew Despard 2013
Priesthood in Crisis is a story of one priest’s experience in the priesthood and his efforts to live out his vocation honourably despite his awareness of corruption in parts of the Church that he loves. His refusal to tow any line other than god's line earned him the enmity of many of his fellow priests and members of the hierarchy. Because of this, his priestly life was one of constant stress as he fought to serve his people with faith and the trust. This was often hampered by sinister machinations by those who could not tolerate his integrity. He did not want to write this book but recent revelations about the Church in Scotland meant that he could no longer remain silent. This is his story.

[Iran Between Two Revolutions]

Allan Bloom: Response to Fukuyama's *End of History and the Last Man* Allan Bloom The National Interest, 1989
Allan Bloom's analysis of the incoherence of Fukuyama's popular & popularized hypothesis after the fall of the Soviet Union and collapse of the Warsaw pact.Bloom shows that Fukuyama has synthesized two notions derived from the thought of Nietzsche and Hegel which contradict one another, forming a nonsensical, not to say highly unpolitical, picture of our situation. Fukuyama seems to celebrate and deplore the victory of liberal democracy in the same breath. There is also a brief discussion of the place of Alexander Kojeve as the father of Fukuyama's perspective. The analysis of Fukuyama's hypothesis recalls Bloom's marvelous discussion of Raymond Aron, a great liberal thinker, whose temper was genuinely political and prudent.

Notes on Homological Algebra (homalg2007) Ieke Moerdijk January 15, 2008, 2008
Foreword: "Foreword These are the notes of a course I taught in Utrecht in the fall of 2003, in the context of the Master Class on Non-Commutative Geometry, a one year special programme for a group of around 15 students from many different countries. The material is a selection of standard results which can be found in many of the text books on the subject, e.g. the one by C. Weibel (Cambridge University Press) or the one by P. Hilton and U. Stammbach (Springer-Verlag). A first draft of the notes was prepared by these students. Subsequently, the notes were polished with the help of Federico De Marchi, who also added an appendix on categorical language. Later, Roald Koudenburg added two sections on the Künneth formula and the Eilenberg-Zilber isomorphism. I’d like to take this opportunity to express my thanks to the students of the Master Class for being an enthusiastic audience, and to Federico, Roald and these students for all their work on the notes. Utrecht, April 2005 and September 2007 I. Moerdijk"

Unique Characteristics of Nias Language Volume 3 Ingatan Gulö IJEE, Volume 3, 2014
Spoken mostly in Nias Island located in the west part of Indonesia, Nias or Li Niha is a language which needs linguistic elaboration. It has characteristics that make it a unique language among those spoken in Indonesia, and to some extent, also has a few unusual features compared to the world languages. Its uniqueness is not limited to having only open syllables but also seen in other phonological issues, its orthography, morphology and syntax. This is an analytical-qualitative research done carefully by the writer as a native speaker of the language. In writing system, Nias uses umlaut over the letter o, circumflex over the letter w, and apostrophe between certain syllables. Phonologically, it has voiced bilabial trill, voiced bilabial fricative, voiced alveolar plosive trill, voiceless velar fricative and voiced dental fricative sounds. Morphologically, it is unique in its mutation system of nouns and peculiar type of ergativity. Syntactically, the language is also distinct in its structures of word order, predicates, and reflexivity.

7 - 8 классы./ef9c39ec15dc7c11876e78d815af14e5.djvu
[A History of Modern Iran]/e49fdfc9017cdd15b4b9b4cdaab37678.pdf
[A History of Modern Iran] نویسنده: یرواند آبراهامیان/مترجم: محمدابراهیم فتاحی نشر نی, 2010
